Mr. De La Palisse wouldn't have said it better...<BR/>Anyhow, as you'll be travelling by the end of May, I assume, that makes it easier, since you won't need to carry heavy winter gear. One month is however a lot of time, and it will also depend on whether you'll be always moving or will settle for some days in a place where you may have your stuff clean at reasonable prices. <BR/>When I was hitch-hiking (many, many years ago), I tried to follow Arthur Frommer's tips on how to travel light, and avoid cumbersome luggage.
