"SPHERE - The original sphere of the WTC fountain, after the crash of the buildings, now at Battery Park. The Sphere - created in 1971 by Fritz Koenig - was described as «a monument fostering world peace». It was stored by the Port Authority in a hangar at Kennedy Airport since having been pulled from underneath the collapsed towers"
