What is the dimension of this lake ?
Is it bigger than the Lac Lemon?

And Annecy is beautiful. Have been there but for a very short time.

I need atleast a full day to go thru all your posts... old & new.

Keep posting.

Nice views on these photos. I think my favorite is the 2nd one with your wife standing on the bridge. It looks so pretty there.

I've never visited Annecy but everybody tells me it's a wonderful pittoresque place.

I did not know Perouges, but I know Annecy, a really beautiful place! Nice to now remember it! ... and you more all less always travel with your lovely wife! That's really nice!

Yes, a big and deep lake, actually one of the few real ones in France (not due to dams)! But France has a lot of rivers!

Cuckoo,
The Leman, shared by France and Switzerland, is the largest (167 square km), second comes Bourget (44km2), third Annecy (27 km2) and fourth Aiguebelette (5.4 km2). All around the same area, the Alps.
Thanks. Love your comments!

Aditi,
The Fête is a Festival with lots of fireworks!

Kuanyin,
Mahalo. I’m also always impressed with your TEN blogs!

Lv2,
The part of the canal in the 2nd photo is one of the most beautiful parts of Annecy.
Thanks for the visit and comment.

April,
Annecy is not that far from Köln; and it’s lovely, actually...

Peter,
Actually, since 2002 I’m not travelling that much professionally, so most of the trips are leisure tours, and we are travelling together. It’s true that previously, when travelling alone, I didn’t take many pictures...
Miss the Fête de la Musique...
Thanks for your regular visits and comments. Much appreciated!

Ash,
Thanks. Concise, precise, precious!

Moi,
Thanks. Look forward to seeing your pictures.

J'aime beaucoup cette région de France, et particulièrement les lacs, c'est une ville pleine de calme, de tranquilité, avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes et non loin de la Mediterranée.Elle a tout pour nous attirer pour une retraite sereine.

What a beautiful part of the world. I was fascinated by your posting on Perouges,,,fabulous old buildings. Is it on the UNESCO heritage list?

Lori,
It’s reciprocal: I’m also a bit jealous of people who live in NYC... ;))

Kalyan,
I’ll look also at Dreamland! I’m sorry I’m not a daily visitor; I wish I had some more time to travel and to look at some blogs...

Lyliane,
C’est vrai que la région des Lacs semble être parfaite pour une retraite tranquille; mais quand même je crois que je préférerais Paris...

Cabacurl,
It’s not listed at UNESCO; don’t know why...

Thanks everybody for visiting and commenting; I truly appreciate!

Che bel posto, i laghi mi piacciono moltissimo, forse quasi più del mare! Complimenti anche per le foto, l'ultima mi piace particolarmente! A presto ^^

A me piacciono anche lei laghi. Con laghi italiani, ho posti a proposito dei Misurina ed Como. Un giorno farò un posto anche sul Lago Garda...

You're right about experiences in small cities! But anyhow I also do love larger... ;). Thanks. I hope to have time to visit your blog tonight!

Sigma,
thanks. You're right: the picture was much bigger, but I cut half of and resized! Not a great result...
