magnificent sunset! I like that picture =)

I'm still a little unprepared for the trip. Do you think a 40L backpack is enough to carry stuff if I'm travelling ard for 1 mth?

I'm still wondering should I get a 40+10L bag.

It all depends on the stuff you want to carry, and on the amount of "tourist trash" - maps, guides, brochures... - you want to keep from your trip. Mr. De La Palisse wouldn't have said it better...
Anyhow, as you'll be travelling by the end of May, I assume, that makes it easier, since you won't need to carry heavy winter gear. One month is however a lot of time, and it will also depend on whether you'll be always moving or will settle for some days in a place where you may have your stuff clean at reasonable prices.
When I was hitch-hiking (many, many years ago), I tried to follow Arthur Frommer's tips on how to travel light, and avoid cumbersome luggage. But those were the days of "Europe on $5 a Day" (FIVE US dollars a day, imagine...).
Not much help?
